Getting the Right Care

Selecting the right orthotic treatment requires a specialized evaluation from a Certified Orthotist CO(c) who is trained in the science of biomechanics, the study of how the body moves. Can we help you find an orthotic solution that will meet your needs?

Cranial Orthoses

There are two general categories: remoulding and protective cranial orthoses. Cranial remoulding orthoses focus on redirecting cranial growth to increase symmetry in infants. Protective helmets/orthoses are prescribed to prevent head injury due to falls, self-injury behaviour, and post-surgical trauma.

These devices may be suitable for individuals with:

  • Plagiocephaly

  • Scaphocephaly

  • Brachycephaly

  • Protective requirements
